This year’s Gala Dinner will be held at Düsseldorf Industrie-Club and will be centered around the topic of Innovation in Healthcare and in particular the growing importance of precision medicine. Peer Schatz, former CEO and now senior advisor of QIAGEN and Professor Robert Bristow MD PhD FRCPC, who is University of Manchester Professor of Cancer Studies and Chief Academic Officer at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust will be our special guests and speakers at the dinner.

Members and guests of the BCCG are cordially invited to attend.

QIAGEN is a leading player in the exciting and growing field of precision medicine. At the same time, it is investing heavily in this area of research in the UK through its subsidiaries in the North West of England and has entered a partnership with the UK NHS to promote the benefits of advances in this area of healthcare. Peer Schatz will be joined by Professor Robert Bristow, and together they will tell the story of how a leading company in NRW has teamed up with UK business and healthcare professionals to promote a revolution in the way we can diagnose and treat patients of serious illnesses in the future.

We are delighted that the speakers have also agreed to take questions after the main speeches.

We are planning to open the evening with a welcome reception from 18.30.

19:20 – 22:00 Gala Dinner in the Karl-Jarres-Hall. Speeches in English after the Starter by Peer Schatz and Professor Robert Bristow followed by Q&A
