Dr. Tanja Galander is a partner at the German law firm GvW Graf von Westphalen specializing in EU sanctions, export controls and international trade law as well as co-chairwoman of DRJV e.V. She advises companies with a focus on Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan as well as neighbouring countries. In addition to her advisory practice, Dr. Tanja Galander wrote her doctoral thesis on European sanctions law and serves as co-editor and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Foreign Trade Law, Sanctions and Foreign Investment (ZASA).

Lykke Schmidt – partner at Lykke Schmidt in Kopenhagen, with the topic:

„Indirect control: making the compliance decision“

Lykke Schmidt specialises in EU export controls and sanctions. Her background includes senior in-house legal and compliance roles with Rockwool International and Vestas. In the legal practice, her work includes advising companies on complex EU sanctions matters and acting as an expert in disputes involving EU sanctions and export controls.”

Heleen over de Linden – partner at Rechta Advocatuur, Amsterdam with the topic:

“Being Indirectly Controlled. Article 1(j) of Regulation (EU) No 269/2014”

Heleen over de Linden is an attorney-at-law specialising in EU sanctions against Russia. She studied Russian language and Tax Law at the University of Amsterdam and wrote her PhD thesis at the University of Groningen on the fundamental rights of sanctioned persons.
