Friends of Europe is delighted to invite you to join our upcoming Europe-China Forum, “Tackling increasing global challenges: prioritizing constructive cooperation”.
The Forum will take place in Brussels and online on Thursday, 1 December, from 09.30 to 13.00 (CET).
Join H.E. Dr. Patricia Flor, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the People’s Republic of China, Bettina Schoen-Behanzin, Vice-President of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, Alicia Garcia-Herrero, Chief Economist for Asia Pacific at Natixis, and Jacob Werksman, Principal Adviser at the European Commission Directorate-General for Climate Action (DG CLIMA), to discuss key elements for better cooperation between Europe and China in the global quest for a greener, safer and more connected world.

  • In what ways can diplomacy be improved to fit the needs of the 21st century? How can China, Europe and their approaches to multilateralism and the management of globalisation contribute to this redefinition?
  • How could the EU and China manage their differences in a responsible manner and jointly provide global common goods in an increasingly turbulent world?
  • Have China’s climate action ambitions been reflected in a greening of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI)? How does the EU’s Global Gateway compare in this regard, and how can a more coordinated EU-China approach to their support to third countries maximise the green impact of their investments?

For participation please contact us directly. Office@wcr-ev.de
